for several months now darrin has been coming to my house once a week to assist in the building and selling my ekalimbas. he is a great key maker and buzzer setter. he also has great web skills and has been central in website updates and sound samples. we use his ebay and youtube accounts to make my kalimbas more accessable. darrin weiner

Where do you get the tines for your kalimbas? I can just imagine someone going to a hardware store and buying tensil steel stock by the lineal foot (ha!). I've heard improvisors use everything from garden rakes to streetsweeper bristles.
